About Katie

Katie Nash is a therapist and co-founder of Newtown Family Therapy. She is deeply committed to supporting clients on their journey toward personal growth, emotional well-being, and greater fulfillment.

Katie helps individuals explore their emotions, better understand their relationship patterns, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. Her therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe and nurturing environment where clients can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Drawing from psychodynamic therapy principles, Katie helps clients look beneath the surface to better understand the underlying dynamics, unresolved conflicts, and emotional patterns that may be influencing their present-day experiences and behaviors. Through this insight-oriented approach, clients can begin to develop greater self-awareness and move toward meaningful change.

Katie believes that self-awareness is a cornerstone of healing and transformation. Her goal is to help clients recognize their inherent resilience, reconnect with their strengths, and tap into their potential for growth, healing, and fulfillment.

Katie earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University and has dedicated 15 years to serving individuals in the mental health field.

Katie's Therapeutic Approach

Katie’s approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and insight-oriented. She draws from psychodynamic therapy to help clients better understand how past experiences, emotional patterns, and relationship dynamics may be shaping their current lives.

In sessions, Katie works with clients to create space for reflection, emotional exploration, and personal growth. Her goal is not only to help clients cope with immediate challenges, but also to support deeper self-understanding and long-term healing.

Clients working with Katie can expect a thoughtful, supportive environment where they are encouraged to explore their inner world, identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
