She has treated patients with anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, depression and complicated grief. Cindy was a Department of Defense contractor as a Military and Family Life Consultant working with Veterans and their families during deployment and providing support in their reintegration into civilian life. She mastered the delicate balance of providing treatment while maintaining confidentiality to preserve their military careers. She continues to provide clinical support to a CT National Guard medical unit during their monthly drills in Danbury. For the past two years, she was part of the Clifford Beers Clinic Newtown Recovery Team.
Cindy enjoys working with individuals, couples and families who are motivated, honest, open-minded and have a good sense of humor. She believes therapy is like the proverb, "Give a man to fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." She sees her role as providing clients with the skills to empower them to manage their life. Nothing gives her more pleasure than seeing a client move onto the next chapter in their life having grown and matured from the previous challenging chapter.
